An exciting partnership between Hong Kong Airlines and Tai Hing Catering Group has been formed to bring Hong Kong gastronomy to the rest of the world. The 4-star (SKYTRAX) rated airline and well-established 25-year-old catering company have announced that they will offer a variety of delicious and authentic Hong Kong cuisine to business class passengers exclusively on Hong Kong Airlines, starting from February, 2015.
Some of the Tai Hing dishes offered on Hong Kong Airlines have received “The Best of the Best Culinary Awards” by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, with exclusive in-flight delights such as, “HK Glorious Dragon: King of Tiger Prawn”, “Boneless Chicken Stuffed with Minced Prawn Puree”, and more. The partnership expects to bring notable business growth, and will help promote traditional Hong Kong cuisine on a global scale.
Hong Kong has always been a foodie’s paradise, and recent surveys have shown local gastronomy as the biggest selling point for Hong Kong’s tourism industry. Banking on this trend, Hong Kong Airlines, and Tai Hing Catering Group have specially designed a delectable in-flight menu of 18 traditional Hong Kong meals for Business Class passengers, which will be offered on designated routes on a two- week rotation starting from February, 2015. Business class passengers will be able to travel in absolute comfort, and enjoy the utmost in food quality and in-flight services.

Mr. Chan Wing On, Chairman of Tai Hing Catering Group is excited about the recent collaboration. He explained, “This partnership is a great experience for Tai Hing and we have encountered some new challenges in designing a menu that is suitable for a commercial airliner. Therefore, we have formed a professional team to re-interpret our award winning dishes and to bring traditional Chinese barbeque delights to business class passengers. We hope to excite the taste buds of travelers and allow them to enjoy the best of traditional Hong Kong cuisine.”

Tai Hing also expressed their interest in expanding the markets as a result of the partnership. Mr. Chan Wing On explained, “Tai Hing already entered the market outside of Hong Kong a decade ago, with branches in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Singapore, and even in some international airports. In 2015 we will open even more branches in popular areas around Hong Kong, to allow locals and visitors to enjoy Tai Hing’s gourmet more easily.”
