New property offers up to six weeks free rent to students that book for a full-year’s accommodation
(Singapore – December 4, 2018) Campus Perth, the innovative co-living student hub being developed by GCP Hospitality, will welcome its first guests when it officially opens its doors on January 7, 2019.
Campus is the design-led, lifestyle and community driven student accommodation brand of GCP Hospitality – an area where the group foresees great potential in. According to Bram Newbold, General Manager, Campus Perth – as the first city centre Purpose Built Student Accommodation – aims to provide students with a truly differentiated offering.
“Campus Perth blurs the lines between traditional student accommodation and a co-living space to deliver the next generation of student accommodation. It is a student lifestyle, a co-living hub that empowers independent living whilst being part of a wider, like-minded social, academic and safe community.”
The development of Campus Perth has been met with widespread approval. In particular, GCP Hospitality is delighted that the new property has been recognised as a proud partner of Study Perth, as well as being named an Endorsed off-site Student Accommodation Provider of The University of Western Australia (UWA) – Perth’s top tertiary institution.
Perth itself is widely regarded as the “Education City of Australia”, renowned for offering some of the finest education in the country. Prospective students will also be attracted to the city’s pristine beaches and proximity to the vast Australian outback, which stand in delightful contrast to the vibrant night scene and shopping euphoria of the business district.
As one of the most liveable cities in the world, Perth also benefits from being one of Australia’s most affordable cities. International students for instance enjoy more for less with a 40 per cent discount on use of all public transport, while bus rides within the city centre are completely free of charge for all.
Exclusively for students, Campus Perth is located at 80 Stirling Street – part of the Northbridge district that is closely connected to Perth’s thriving city centre. As an up-and-coming area that is undergoing rapid urban development, the district offers plenty of dining and entertainment options and is well served by a number of public transport options. The nearby Kings Park also provides easy accessibility to key universities in Perth.
When it opens, Campus Perth will offer a total of 726 beds set across 11 floors. The property features affordable and all-inclusive community living options, available in a wide range of accommodation choices, including the flat sharing style apartments Campus Four and Cluster 6 – for four and six people, as well as Twodio and Studio that cater to two and single guests respectively.
The Cluster 6 room measures a generous 115sqm in size and each comes with six individual 10sqm bedrooms as well as a shared living space for co-habitants to socialise with one another. Each individual bedroom is outfitted with a single bed, desk and storage space. Meanwhile, the private and spacious bathrooms feature four sinks, two toilets and two shower stalls. For convenient cooking, communal kitchens are located just outside the Cluster 6.
Campus 4 rooms strike the perfect balance between a spacious and cozy space. The design of this 44sqm accommodation evokes a communal vibe with four individual beds and workstations positioned around a comfortable living area. Each flat also comes with a bathroom and a dining table for friends to dine together.
Meanwhile, the 31sqm Twodios are the perfect choice for students that do not wish to live alone and yet prefer their very own sanctuary of personal space. Complete with a bathroom Twodios also provide plenty of privacy with individual twin beds, desks and lockable drawers.
And for students that value privacy over all else – the Studios are truly the perfect choice. Each 15sqm room boasts its very own ensuite bathroom and kitchenet, along with a double sized bed, storage space and a built-in desk for increased productivity.
In addition, Campus Perth offers a complete suite of facilities spread across 3,600sqm designed to help students achieve the perfect balance of study, social life and wellness. These include The Link – a state-of-the-art co-working space that promotes collaboration and social interaction by offering cluster tables, individual workstations and private meeting rooms. This entire space is equipped with the latest technology and connectivity including high-speed Wi-Fi, USB charging stations, screening options and monitors.
Finally, it’s never all work and no play at Campus Perth, as the new student accommodation will be home to The Commons. As a playful take on the traditional common room concept, The Commons features a variety of different areas for students to relax and take a break from studying – all in a vibrant, multi-cultural environment with several gaming and screen options as well as a dedicated juice bar. Other recreational facilities include a fully equipped fitness club of over 600sqm as well as a BBQ rooftop available exclusively for residents.
“The opening of Campus Perth is a timely one and coincides with the new term for most schools and Higher Education institutions here in Australia,” said Newbold. “Designed with students in mind, Campus Perth is committed to delivering all the tools that help the new leaders of tomorrow to succeed.”
To commemorate the opening of Campus Perth, GCP Hospitality is offering students up to six weeks of free rent, when they book for a full-year’s accommodation. In addition, students will also receive a VISA card with AUD$300 (HK$1,687) of credit when they refer a friend. Standard accommodation rates start from AUD$162 (HK$911) per week.
All quoted rates are inclusive of accommodation fees, government rates, legal fees, management fees, electricity and water, hi-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, washers and dryers, 24/7 security and gymnasium access.
