(Hong Kong, 11 March, 2019) – As Hong Kong explodes with creativity and culture during the month of March, CÉ LA VI is embracing its artistic side. Transforming into a stylish hub for collectors, art-lovers and creatives alike, the Lan Kwai Fong venue will treat guests to artistically crafted dishes along with Instagram-worthy cocktail creations, all while browsing some of the best art pieces the city has to offer.
Art March at CÉ LA VI
With creativity at the core of the CÉ LA VI culinary expertise, the Art March at CÉ LA VI menu depicts culinary art and creating delectable masterpieces.
Available from 1 to 31 March, the colourful set menu is priced at HK$688* per person and includes six vibrant contemporary Asian dishes. Starting with fresh and salty Oyster & Botan Ebi, with yuzu soy and chive dressing, the set menu features other seafood specialties like Grilled Salmon with Salted Egg Coconut Cream, an Asian-inspired fish dish with local touches.
The artistic highlight lies within the dessert; Strawberry gelée, passion fruit sauce and strawberry ice cream accompany the sweet Beet & Raspberry Mousse with Crushed Szechuan Peppercorns, a blushing palette of different shapes and textures with a surprising savoury spice infused by the peppercorns.
Taking inspiration from the French pop-artist Richard Orlinksi and his ‘born wild’ ethos of living positively, CÉ LA VI has also crafted an exclusive cocktail, available throughout Art Month only. Made from Bacardi Rum, homemade Kaffir lime leaf syrup, Ginger Beer and fresh limes and garnished with mixed berries, the Panthère Cobblers (HK$148) radiates summer vibes!
I AM CÉ LA VI
Hosting a finale to end all Hong Kong art celebrations , CÉ LA VI invites guests to end the month on a high with the Art Month Closing Party on Saturday 30 March. Featuring an eclectic solo live art performance by dance alchemy production group I AM.
CÉ LA VI X Opera Gallery
In partnership with the contemporary art gallery Opera Gallery Hong Kong, CÉ LA VI is exhibiting a collection of international sculptures throughout The Lounge, Sky Deck and restaurant space. From 1 to 31 March, five three dimension sculptures will adorn the venue, allowing guests to explore visual art while enjoying the iconic CÉ LA VI views.
Opera Gallery artworks displayed in CÉ LA VI throughout Art Month include Korean artist Seo Young Deok who focuses on human formation, welding individual metal chain links to form the bodies of nude men and women. Named Meditation 19, Anguish 14 and Anguish 18, three seated female sculptures are situated in The Lounge and on the outdoor Sky Deck.
Other featured artworks include American Artist Jonathan Seliger’s Hansom – a bronze reflection of a store bag from French brand Hermès – and Parisian sculptor Richard Orlinski’s timeless animal piece; Panthère strass Swarovski, one of eight miniature panthers coated entirely in glistening Swarovski Crystals.
With the artwork available for purchase, CÉ LA VI welcomes diners and art fans alike to celebrate all that Hong Kong has to offer this March.
