Atop California Tower, the glamorous restaurant and nightspot sets to reign supreme as the best spot in town this September, all thanks to its spectacular #CELA3 birthday.
To celebrate its 3rd anniversary, a diverse and delicious menu featuring the restaurant’s most popular signature dishes will be available along with its rooftop - a magnet for A-listers and international glitterati - will unveil its newly styled Sky Deck mid-September.
Bring on the Favourites – The Anniversary Tasting Menu
The special seven-course tasting menu will boast a line-up of signature dishes crafted by past and present Executive Chefs of CÉ LA VI. Priced at HK$888 per person, including a 100 ml serving of premium Manotsuru Karakuchi sake, the tasting selection has been curated by current Executive Chef Jason Au, a veteran of Nobu restaurants worldwide. Served throughout September, the menu will be a heartwarming and mouthwatering tribute to his predecessors.
The tasting menu begins with a dish prepared by Chef Jason, Fresh Oyster with Yellowtail & Ikura which will be served with a flavor filled yuzu dressing and negi. For the second course, guests will enjoy a rich yet zesty Toro Tartare with fresh brioche and yuzu truffle vinaigrette by Chef Jonathan Maza, a culinary mastermind who was known to infuse science and artistry into his creations.
With over 30 years of culinary experience, Executive Chef Chet Adkins led the expert team at CÉ LA VI Hong Kong and crafted the Creamy Tempura Prawn Salad with spicy Gochujang sauce and chives which holds a spicy kick.
Bringing international culinary flair, Chef Kun Young Pak (Phillip) made an impact on CÉ LA VI with dishes like his Bulgolgi Bao Bun. Boasting delectable flavors, this dish will be served with sweet soy marinated beef, black garlic vinegar and a fresh negi salad.
Chef Jason will bring to the table two more savory delights in the form of the very best Pan Seared Hokkaido Scallop with shiso vinaigrette, coriander and zucchini and the exquisite Slow Roasted Moulard Duck Breast with Baby Brassica and garnished in a wasabi pickled, ponzu, negi and fried garlic. .
Finally, favoured desserts are served up using prized Valrhona chocolate in Andi Ching’s indulgent Chocolate Trio and the beloved Matcha Tart by the restaurant’s ‘Iron Chef Thailand’ pastry chef Jason Licker.
Bring on the Party – The Newly Styled Sky Deck
The 3rd anniversary also sees a brand new look and layout to CÉ LA VI’s 26/F Sky Deck. With breathtaking panoramic views over Hong Kong’s glittering skyline, the all-new and uber-stylish rooftop oozes cool thanks to its slick, modern design and the use of glass, brushed copper and concrete in addition to sophisticated deep red and grey hues. The trendy Sky Deck will also feature an elevated DJ booth that takes a new prime position alongside a fresh VIP area.
For the launch month, CÉ LA VI has teamed up with NICE POPS for two limited edition Sky Deck Poptails – Strawberry Blood Orange Mint and White Peach Grapefruit (HKD$68) - available from a cool-down ice-pop station to enjoy as a pop or can be paired perfectly with a glass of champagne.
And the celebrations will also include an unforgettable set spun by big-name DJ-producer Kiko Navarro taking place on Sunday, 23rd September 2018.
