 (Hong Kong, 7 September 2018) - Northern Chinese restaurant Hutong honours Mid-Autumn Festival - traditionally a time of year when Chinese family members gather to enjoy dinner and admire the moon at its fullest. Hutong proudly presents an eleven-dish reunion menu with mooncake treasures to mark this 3000-year-old Chinese festival.

From 23 – 25 September 2018, guests are invited to enjoy tempting creations including Braised South African abalone with ginger & lemongrass. The special menu also features Kung Po spicy grouper fillets with cashew nuts and Hokkaido scallop stir-fried with Yunnan mushroom & bell pepper. A collection of dishes have been specially created to honour the moon goddess Braised pork belly with pomelo peel, the pomelo is believed to have been a favoured fruit of the goddess. Hutong’s impressive eleven-course menu offers a bountiful harvest and is priced at 1,994 HKD for 2 people. 

Taking centre-stage, Hutong will be offering complimentary mooncakes from 23^rd – 25^th September. Mooncakes are a must-try Mid-Autumn delicacy; their symbolic shape represents reunion and happiness. The culinary team have crafted two mooncakes using the finest ingredients. Red bean is carefully balanced with the mild fragrance of matcha in the green tea with red bean mooncake. The hand-crafted mooncakes are prepared for 24 hours, for the purple yam with chocolate mooncake; thehomemade yam powder is dry aged and compliments the molten chocolate centre. These are limited edition and available to guests enjoying the Mid-Autumn Festival menu.

Exclusively for Mid-Autumn from 7 – 10pm each evening from 23^rd – 25^th September, guests are invited to join a Lantern decorating workshop; lanterns hold great significance when celebrating the festival with their globe-shaped appearance and illuminating surface closely resembling the moon.
