Celebratory Lunar Dinner at The Chinese Library The Chinese Library presents an eleven-dish celebratory feast including Roast hand-pulled chicken with black truffle and Sichuan pepper essence and Tai Chi rainbow” steamed sweet potato, Chinese yam in winter melon with lemon balm & lily bulbs. Specially created for Mid-Autumn is the aptly named “Moon in the Water” abalone served in fish broth with wild chilli. An Enlightening Mid-Autumn Dinner and Feng Wei Brunch at Hutong Hutong marks the 3000-year-old Chinese festival with eleven dishes including Osmanthus glazed beef flakes with chilli sauce, Braised lobster in Sichuan spicy sauce with eggplant & diced pork and the signature Crispy de-boned lamb ribs which is marinated for 24 hours, braised and deep-fried. Celebrate with the moonlike “Sphere of Fortune” - a giant glutinous sesame ball and Homemade oolong tea ice cream. Book dinner from the 6th – 15th September for HK$1,198 per person. For three special evenings on the 13th - 15th September, enjoy ancient Chinese lantern-making - when illuminated these are said to resemble the moon with their globe-shaped appearance. A calligraphy artist will also be on-hand for guests to write messages of luck and good fortune for loved ones. On the 14th – 15th September, Feng Wei Brunch will feature Lantern Painting and Rainbow Calligraphy. Priced at HK$468 or HK$668 per person for free-flow Laurent-Perrier Champagne and cocktails. Limited-Edition Complimentary Mooncakes Mooncakes are a must-try Mid-Autumn delicacy; their symbolic circular shape represents reunion and happiness. To honour this Chinese tradition, Dim Sum Library has crafted Osmanthus & rice wine mooncakes based on a popular sweet, floral dessert soup made with glutinous rice dumplings. Tangyuan dessert is synonymous with harmony and unity which is why it is traditionally served on special family occasions. In addition, vibrant Matcha & red bean mooncakes can be found at Hutong and The Chinese Library presents lilac Snowy ginger & sweet potato mooncakes.
