(Shanghai, March 1, 2018) – Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) continues to strengthen its management team in China with two more senior appointments – Cressida Yi Chen, Associate Vice President of Sales, China, and Yalding Xinglong Xu, Marketing Director, China.
The two executive roles follow NCLH’s appointment of cruise industry veteran Ewen Cameron as Director of Operations, China.
Based in the NCLH China head office in Shanghai, the management team is directed by Managing Director of China, Alex Yucheng Xiang, and works closely with the company’s Asia Pacific division and corporate headquarters in Miami.
With a tourism management degree from Shanghai Maritime University, Ms. Chen joins from global travel fare aggregator website and metasearch engine Booking.com, where she was in charge of Chains & Connectivity, Greater China.
Ms Chen also brings valuable experience from leading international hotel reservation network, HRS, where she was Director of Contracting, Greater China, building the company’s sales team in Greater China.
As Associate Vice President of Sales, China be responsible for developing sales strategies for NCLH’s three cruise brands in the China market, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Yalding Xinglong Xu brings over 14 years of marketing and branding experience and expertise to his new role overseeing brand communication, trade marketing and integrated marketing campaigns as Director of Marketing, China.
He joins from BBDO, where he was leading brand consultant to NCLH for the launch of the new ship Norwegian Joy in China, leading campaigns for its TV commercials and inaugural event. Yalding started his career as a professional journalist and editor for the National Basketball Association (NBA). He moved on to several top international 4A advertising companies and China’s LI-NING brand as digital and PR expert.
