AA Rising Star Project
Every year, thousands of young people with artistic talent and dreams attend art schools, yet only 10% continue to pursue art professionally after graduation.
Accidental Art, as the rising art platform in Hong Kong, has initiated an exceptional program since 2017. The AA Rising Star Project aims to help promising young art students gain more exposure and prepare them for long-term opportunities in the industry.
The program will allow young artists to share their ideas and creations through specially curated exhibitions, promoting their work to a global network of art enthusiasts and influencers and providing them with opportunities to launch commercial products to further support their artistic passions.
Artists Biographies (Artworks in the attachments)
Chuntao Lau (b.1994) is an artist born and raised in Hong Kong. By using ink, acrylic and screen print, his works are known for distorting objects through texture and pattern. His artworks are inspired by his observation of everyday life.
Elly Wan (b.1989) is a painter graduated in England. Space has been indispensable theme that minimal composition serving as a space for the imagination of the viewer. Insignificant things generated from present thoughts and past memories are of her particular interest, since it is her belief that human emotion could be affected by our surroundings. Elly has participated in various group exhibitions in Hong Kong, England and Japan.
Luya Wang (b.1993) is a contemporary artist established in area of installation and paintings. Her works explore the relationship between artist to participator, through a time based experience, each practice exists not only in past or present events, but its potential of unknown future.
Tingting Li (b.1991) blends the boundary between fiction and reality through de- contextualization of the image. Based on the composition of line, block and space, she tries to explore the connection between personal experience and art creation. The uniqueness of her style lies in contradict but dynamic elements in her image.
Yiyi Wang (b.1995) focuses on photorealistic painting. It’s a slow process of self-consolation and self-healing, enabling her to achieve the so-called ‘perfection’ in her perception. In Yiyi’s opinion, this action is completely autonomous, and the only way she can feel free.
