(Shanghai, November 28, 2017) – Sofitel Hotels & Resorts’ first design hotel in mainland China, Sofitel Foshan, is paying tribute to the city’s heritage as China’s famed ‘hometown of delicacies’, unveiling a premium gourmet destination at the city’s new landmark.
Complementing iconic street cuisine, Sofitel Foshan now raises the bar with an exuberant marriage of global gastronomy at breathtaking venues towering 236 meters over China’s leading furniture city.
The trendy new magnet for ‘foodies’ presents the world on a plate under one stunning roof – from modern French, Italian and celebrated Shunde-style Cantonese cuisine to Japanese, Moroccan and Indian specialties, cuisine making it truly international and exceptional.
Ensuring excellence of epicurean offerings throughout, culinary operations of Sofitel Foshan are overseen by the city’s first French executive chef Mikael Robin.

From a family of chefs and restaurateurs in Brittany, he brings experience ranging from 5-star Billesley Manor in England, the former residence of William Shakespeare, to Raffles Paris and the elite team at Ritz Palace Paris, under Bocuse d’Or winner, Chef Michel Roth, becoming an honorary member of the tightknit community of top chefs in the French capital.
Kwee Zeen, which plays on the word ‘cuisine’, combines the Sofitel brand’s passion for ‘gastronomie Francaise’ with Pan Asian specialties at the signature 58/F restaurant. The culinary adventure revolves around four interactive live cooking stations showcasing regional and international cuisines.
With the city’s highest outdoor dining terrace, Kwee Zeen presents a smorgasbord of haute international cuisine throughout the day – from local and French-inspired breakfasts, with perfectly-served coffee, to sumptuous lunchtime buffets and deli favorites, and classic regional and international dining in the evening.

A floor above, Italian restaurant Allegria is inspired by Mediterranean lifestyle, with traditional Tuscan décor, serving classic Italian cuisine, from homemade antipasti, pasta and pizza to artesan cheese. The latest offer for Allegria is the set lunch, with the price varies from 198 RMB per person, to 258 RMB, 288 RMB and 338 RMB. Guests can enjoy authentic Italian cuisines from Spaghetti alle vongole with fresh clams and cherry tomatoes to Toscan style polenta.
Allegria is helmed by Italian chef Vermiglio Fabrizio, who brings extensive international experience of Italian restaurants, from his native Italy, where he trained under Michelin-starred Chef Luca Marchino, to Montreal, Canada; Manchester, UK; Perth, Australia and Madrid, Spain. Since 2013 he has been working in Shenzhen, 5-star hotels.

For a dramatic ‘top of the world’ experience, the city’s first Sky Bar is the trendiest nightspot in the city with panoramic 360-degree views from an outdoor terrace on level 60, a resident DJ, as well as a fashionable menu of innovative cocktails and tapas-style bites.
Wine aficionados can head to the elegant Noble Bar for tastings, and Le Bar–Lobby Lounge for cocktails, snacks and afternoon tea.

With net price of RMB588 for per adult and RMB298 for per child, and free for children aged from 0 to 5 years old.
