The TEDxTinHauWomen program is designed to showcase women and girls as changemakers and innovators in Hong Kong, as well as provide a platform for sharing ideas important to the community.
This year’s event is inspired by the idea of us all being very different people with varying perspectives and views on the world. Being bold takes courage, being brilliant takes others to believe in something collectively, we all have the power to make change. Everyone is capable of brilliance, it takes courage to be bold and to encourage others to shine. Don’t apologize for your brilliance. Audience members will be inspired to be Bold and Brilliant *without apologies.

Stay tuned to the TEDxTinHauWomen LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram for the 2019 “Bold & Brilliant” speaker announcements, which will be announced from late August onwards.
TEDxTinHauWomen is in its third year and the name pays homage to Tin Hau – the Chinese Goddess of the Sea – and recognises Hong Kong’s unique coastal and spiritual history.
This year we have expanded our core leadership team adding in more key members to lead the whole team of 50 volunteers:
The 6 December event will coincide with the global TEDWomen event to be hosted in Palm Springs, California. Held over a half-day, the program includes exclusive streaming of talks from the global TEDWomen event in Palm Springs, a line-up of local speakers with “ideas worth sharing”, networking and community activities. The Hong Kong “Bold & Brilliant” event is one of many TEDx events happening around the globe between December 4-6th that will expand on the ideas brought up at TEDWomen.

TEDx
x = independently organised event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organised events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organised TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organised. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
TEDWomen
TEDWomen is a three-day conference about the power of women and girls to be creators and change-makers. The program of speakers, workshops, events — and daring discussions — has sparked some of TED’s most iconic moments yet.
TEDWomen brings together a global community of women and men interested in exploring how change begins: with innovative thinkers who catalyze ideas toward action. Over the past few years, TEDWomen and TEDxWomen have launched some powerful ideas into the world.
