Hong Kong Music Tech Startup, Soundbrenner, Chosen as 2017 Talent Unleashed Awards Finalist

Global panel of judges, headlined by Steve Wozniak and Sir Richard Branson, select 2017’s most exciting startups and entrepreneurs – including Hong Kong based tech company Soundbrenner

Hong Kong -- November 2^nd, 2017 – Talent announced the APAC finalists for the 2017 Talent Unleashed Awards, with Hong Kong based innovative startup, Soundbrenner, as one of top 3 nominees. The Talent Unleashed Awards, celebrate ground-breaking startups, innovators and entrepreneurs in the Asia-Pacific Region who are using technology to transform the world, creating bold and inventive solutions to business challenges or social issues.

Soundbrenner, named a finalist in the “Best Startup – Tech or Digital Innovation” category, has been selected for its innovative production of the world’s first smart metronome for musicians, Soundbrenner Pulse.

Wearable, smart and powered by vibrations; Soundbrenner created a unique platform that combines hardware and software into a holistic solution that empowers musicians to master rhythm better than ever before. With the mission to bring technology, great design and inspiration to every musician on the planet, the team has dedicated their efforts into continuously creating new technologies to improve the way music has been played and practice.

Commenting on their Finalist status, Founder of Soundbrenner, Florian Simmendinger, said “We are extremely excited to be selected as a finalist from our category. Having only just passed the year mark since being founded, Soundbrenner is headquartered in Hong Kong and have already expanded internationally with a second office in Berlin. The company has shown tremendous success in just a year, with 1 million downloads of their popular metronome app and sold over 35,000 units worldwide.

Soundbrenner is invited and will be attending the APAC Awards Grand Final event in Melbourne on 7 December 2017. Steve Wozniak will help host the event, where finalists will receive live feedback and advice from Mr Wozniak and a panel of judges. The Global Grand Prize Winners will be provided an all-expenses paid trip to Silicon Valley to visit the homes of global technology companies and meet with leaders in the sector.
