(Hong Kong, 8 March 2019) A bustling co-living space for more than 700 international studentsfrom 14 Asian countries, Australia, Europe and USA, Campus Perth is a home away from home for many of them, who recently moved into the property ahead of the first semester of classes.
Popular amongst students from China, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, Campus Perth is at the very heart of Perth’s art, culture, dining and nightlife district and students can easily stroll to local landmarks such as the Art Gallery of Western Australia and Russell Square. In addition, the student co-living space is also easily accessible to a host of established universities such as the University of WA, Curtin University, Murdoch University and more.
Apart from its stellar location, GCP Hospitality COO, Tony Chisholm said a focus on student welfare was vital in the development of campus amenities. “Given that many of our residents will be from out of town, the Campus Perth events calendar will feature activities that encourage residents to get to know each other while experiencing the Perth surroundings too.”
Students living at Campus Perth can look forward to a plethora of amazing events, from fun social activities such as Music Bingo and Quiz Nights to practical workshops such as CV writing classes and job searching seminars. They can also participate in the weekly yoga classes with their new friends and spend time in the gym, a fitness haven equipped with a comprehensive range of machines and weights.
“I’m looking forward to the sense of community that Campus Perth offers, getting to meet new people from different backgrounds and cultures is what makes the Campus Perth experience so rewarding,’’ Ziwei Mao, a 19-year old medical student from the University of Western Australia commented.
“It’s a unique living experience which promotes independence in terms of cooking and having your own space, but there’s also the benefit of communal living and support from others around you.”
Designed to be an affordable yet design driven living option focused on building communities, Campus Perth boasts 3,600 square metres of communal areas, including a co-working space, a relaxation and co-mingling lounge, a fully-equipped fitness studio hosting a schedule of fitness and mindfulness classes, communal kitchens and a rooftop terrace and BBQ area.
Manea Senior College student Nina Raper will be living out of home for the first time when she makes the move to Perth for university this year. Despite having the option of university accommodation, Campus Perth appealed to Nina’s mother Andrina Hermann due to the focus on student wellbeing, amenities and central location.
“Campus Perth is good place for Nina to go in her first instance of living away from home,” Ms Hermann said. “It will give her an opportunity to find her feet away from home in a safe environment.”
Residents can choose from four room types including a Studio, Twodio, Campus 4 and Cluster 6 – offering a mix between private and shared spaces. Room prices start from AUD$162 a week (HKD$920). A mix of retail and commercial offerings will be situated on the ground floor of the building, featuring a host of prime restaurant options and a grocery store.
