(Hong Kong, 27 March, 2019) – Celebrating Easter Hong Kong-style this April, dim sum destination, YUM CHA is offering a limited edition selection of creative dishes celebrating the season. From 1-30 April Hong Kong foodies can enjoy innovative takes on traditional dim sum with five new cute dumplings and dishes shaped like springtime animals.
Celebrating the Easter bunny tradition, adorable-looking treats will be made in-house daily, such as hot custard glutinous rice dumplings (HK$49 3pcs) filled with handmade custard and shaped into small white bunnies with sweet jam spots for eyes and deep-fried turnip dumplings (HK$39 3pcs) filled with jicama and shredded chicken. These little dishes are formed into carrot-shaped dumplings and made with the natural orange pigment from the vegetable.
Other additions to the Easter time menu will include an ode to nature and springtime with the baked pineapple puffs (HK$49 3pcs) of miniature yellow chicks, baked to order and served in little bird cages brought to the table.
Inspired by the ‘Tortoise and the Hare’ story, pork & cabbage buns (HK$49 2pcs) will be made to look like little green turtles, using green tea powder and sesame seeds. Filled with sweet Shanghai pak choi, the cute green buns are served in twos in traditional dim sum baskets.
Tofu in Japanese style sesame dressing with spicy smoked salmon (HK$59) is a cold Chinese dish, cut into a shape of rabbit. The smoked salmon is first marinated with a specially prepared spicy sauce and molded into a rabbit with eyes made from red peppers.
For guests who would like to raise a glass this Easter, Dragon Noodles Academy has created two special seasonal cocktails. The creamy, white Spring Blessings (HK$119), made from Malubu, banana, milk, and white chocolate and topped with soft marshmallows, this special edition drink is the perfect way to end the sweet holiday. As well as the Easter Bunny (HK$119) which is fruity and fresh like Spring thanks to its mix of Pimm’s, orange, cucumber, strawberry all topped off with refreshing Sprite. Also, these two drinks will have special 30 % off during 1-22 April.
Exclusive for the month of April only, these exquisitely themed dim sum offerings will definitely win guests’ affection and provide the ideal photogenic family feast.

About DRAGON NOODLES ACADEMY (DNA)
Opened in November 2016, DNA combines classic Kung Fu ambience with the “DNA” of Hong Kong’s traditional food culture and history. As a result, the restaurant presents a dynamic and delicious twist on traditional food culture and history. Dim Sum, noodles, and classic dishes get a modern makeover thanks to the gourmet talents of DNA’s culinary team. Served in a setting reminiscent of Kung Fu academies in the 1970s, the dishes take distinctive elements of old Hong Kong, such as lion dances, traditional Chinese medicine shops, and hand-carved dragons, and reinventing them into something exciting again. For its innovative concept and dishes, DNA was recommended in The Fine Cantonese Food by MICHELIN Guide 2018.
DNA is located at Shop no. G04, G/F, Man Yee Arcade, Man Yee Building, 68 Des Voeux Road Central, Central, Hong Kong. For reservations, please call (852) 2561-6688 or email [email protected].
