CONSISTENCY AND STYLE
When Instagram users browse your Instagram feed for the first time, it can be a deciding factor for them to follow you based on what they see. It can be described as a personal portfolio, which reflects who you are and what you love. It is important to decide on a theme for your feed, it can be dark and moody, pastel soft, sharp and colorful or minimalist. It is significant to keep all post topics similar and consistent with your photography and filter. Pick a topic you want to focus on, it can be food, travel or adventure. You want people to follow you that are interested in what you do.
LOOK FOR NATURAL LIGHT
Too often, when we photograph food with our phone, we forget one of the most important factors that go into taking the perfect shot: the light! Turn off these hard and overhead interior lights. This will help to prevent your shots from appearing flat or having unappetizing color castings. Try to find your best source of natural light in your environment. In general, you want the light to be in my picture, but not so hard that it is ejected.
One Instagram feature that can be easily overlooked, location tag. Your friends and followers can follow your restaurant footprint. When you click on the check-in location, it will be redirected to the search results page. The post will appear on a page with all the other images with the same check-in tag. Your followers can view all the posts tagged within this specific location. The users who liked the post, are likely to visit the restaurant and look up this location and search for further details. By adding it, there is a higher chance to be discovered by new audiences and them to interact with your shared post.
CAPTION YOUR POST
Instagram caption plays an important role that helps you connect and engage with a greater audience. You can interact and develop a strong trust relationship with your followers by having a captivating and interesting caption. An excellent Instagram caption can explain the purpose of your photo but doesn’t stop just there. You can go in-depth or simply talk about an interesting quote that relates to your post. However, beware that your caption should be related to your content as it helps Instagram categorize your post. A caption can be inspiring, funny or helpful. You can drive a conversation or tell a story between you and your followers. Instagram is a great way for foodies to express their passion and hobby.
