This September YUM CHA and Dragon Noodles Academy

Launch New All-You-Can-Eat Concepts

(Hong Kong, 11 September, 2019) – World famous dim sum destination YUM CHA as well as retro Kung Fu-themed restaurant Dragon Noodles Academy will offer an all-you-can-eat buffet experience with unlimited flow dishes of dim sum and chef’s specials for the month of September.

YUM CHA - Offering Cute Buns at its First Buffet
At YUM CHA, the menu presents over 40 choices of popular dim sum including the signature and much loved, Instagram-able Hot Custard Molten Bun as part of the free-flow, with its molten custard filling served at just the right temperature.

Also available are the new creations to the bun family such as the Steamed Red Bean and Mochi Bun, Green Tea Custard Molten Bun and Steamed Chinese Cabbage and Pork Bun - all not-to-be-missed. Each dim sum portion is two pieces per person, specially created for this experience so that guests get a taste of many dishes without feeling too full.

Presented in a mini bird cage, the bird-shaped Baked Pineapple Puff is baked to order and also part of the offering. As well as Chef’s specials including the Sticky Honey Balsamic Chicken Wings, Chef carefully de-bones the wings and combines Italian balsamic vinegar and Chinese Zhenjiang vinegar to create an appetizing sweet and sour dish.

Being at the forefront of Chinese vegetarian cuisine, YUM CHA’s Baked BBQ OMN!PORK Puffs are free-flow also, these plant-based ground pork substitutes are mixed with the original-style BBQ sauce and fresh pineapple, the puffs are then brushed with poppy seeds to coat the crispy shells.

And a wide selection of innovative rice and noodles using the best quality ingredients includes Fried Turmeric Rice w/ Angus Beef Cubes and Braised Truffle E-fu Noodles.

For the free-flow dishes, the price per adult is only HKD158 and per children under ten HKD78. Guests can add Chef’s Specials (+HKD40 for adults/+HKD20 for children) and unlimited drinks (+HKD30 for adults/free for children)*.

Dragon Noodles Academy - Michelin-recommended Presents Unlimited Experience
Known for its expertly prepared dim sum and Chinese dishes using the finest ingredients, Dragon Noodles Academy has been featured in the recent of edition of Fine Cantonese Food by Michelin Guide acknowledging its status as one of the best Cantonese restaurants in the city.

The free-flow food offering presents nearly 40 dim sum options such as the Braised E-fu Noodle with Wild Mushrooms and Truffles as well as the Black Truffle Taro Puffs, Sous-Vide Spicy Chicken Rolls and Sous-Vide Ginger Chicken Rolls.

A dish ideal for sharing is the Minced Pigeon with Lettuce Wrap, a signature in the Shunde district of the Guangdong province. Using the nostalgic cooking method of frying the finely chopped pigeon meat, the meat is then served alongside whole lettuce leaves for diners to create wraps at the table. The fresh lettuce cuts through the rich flavour of the meat and all paired together gives the sensation of umami.

And to finish, the eye-catching Marinated Winter Melon In Blueberry Sauce is an exquisitely presented dish – showcased as a bunch of grapes, winter melon balls that are half-cooked with steam and soaked in blueberry sauce, giving the dish a refreshing flavour.

The all-you-can-eat option is HKD158 per adult and HKD78 per child (under 10). Add ons’ of Chef’s specials, From The Woon Oven and rice and noodles are only +HKD100 for adults and +HKD50 for children. And unlimited drinks are +HKD30 for adults.

About DRAGON NOODLES ACADEMY (DNA)

Opened in November 2016, DNA combines classic Kung Fu ambience with the “DNA” of Hong Kong’s traditional food culture and history. As a result, the restaurant presents a dynamic and delicious twist on traditional food culture and history. Dim Sum, noodles, and classic dishes get a modern makeover thanks to the gourmet talents of DNA’s culinary team. Served in a setting reminiscent of Kung Fu academies in the 1970s, the dishes take distinctive elements of old Hong Kong, such as lion dances, traditional Chinese medicine shops, and hand-carved dragons, and reinventing them into something exciting again. For its innovative concept and dishes, DNA was awarded The Plate from Michelin in 2018 and featured in 2018-2019 special edition of Fine Cantonese Food by Michelin Guide.

DNA is located at Shop no. G04, G/F, Man Yee Arcade, Man Yee Building, 68 Des Voeux Road Central, Central, Hong Kong. For reservations, please call (852) 2561-6688 or email [email protected].
