State Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office of Finland, Ms. Paula Lehtomäki and Secretary for the Environment of the Hong Kong SAR, the Honorable Wong Kam-sing will deliver keynote speeches in a breakfast event on the business of sustainable development in Hong Kong on November 15, 2018.
The UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted three years ago is our joint, universal blueprint for action. The ambitious goals of the 2030 Agenda cannot be reached without the active engagement of the private sector, the research community and the wider society.
Corporate social responsibility plays an increasingly important role in the success of businesses. Attaining the 2030 Agenda requires forerunners and innovative solutions. We also need to share best practices. Finnish companies offer world-class solutions from cleantech, biotech and circular economy to health tech and smart solutions.
The event will explore the current state of sustainable development in Finland and Hong Kong and the related business opportunities as well as highlight what Finnish companies have to offer in order to achieve a more sustainable future.
The speeches will be followed by an interactive panel discussion. The event is organized by the Consulate General of Finland, in cooperation with the Finnish Chamber of Commerce and InvestHK.
