Visa Application Centre eases applying for a Schengen Visa to Finland in Hong Kong
Finland is outsourcing the submission of visa applications in Hong Kong. Finland Visa Application Centre maintained by VFS Global will be opened in Hong Kong on 10th April 2018. The new Visa Application Centre will make it easier to apply for a Schengen visa to Finland. Finland represents Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden in Hong Kong in visa matters.
An appointment for the Visa Application Centre can be booked in advance, the application can be filled online and the applicant can request that the passport will be returned to the desired address in Hong Kong, China or Macao by courier. The appointment booking at the Visa Application Centre is not mandatory and the Centre also serves walk-in customers.
The applicant must always submit the application in person and must give his or her biometrics. Applications can be submitted from Monday to Friday 9.00 – 15.00. The Visa Application Centre charges a service fee for each application.
Even after the Visa Application Centre is operational, the General Consulate of Finland processes the applications and makes all the visa decisions.
To submit a visa application, the applicant may book an appointment on the website http://visa.finland.eu, by e-mail [email protected] or calling the Call Centre +852 2122 9552. The Call Centre operates in English (Monday-Friday 9.00 – 15.00). The website, Call Centre and e-mail services for Visa Application Centre will be launched on 3rd April 2018.
The Consulate General of Finland will accept applications by appointment only. These appointments can also be booked on the same website or Call Centre.
