On Saturday June 13, 2015, Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong will join the worldwide movement Global Wellness Day in support of promoting healthy, sustainable lifestyles. Through a variety of activities and amenities, the Hotel will encourage in-house guests to take time to engage in healthy opportunities related to fitness, nutrition, beauty, mindfulness and sleep.
Fitness Goes Outdoors
A series of complimentary outdoor fitness offerings kick-off the day of wellness celebration. In the morning, Lululemon Yoga Ambassador Victor Chau will lead a yoga session for all levels under the blue skies of Hong Kong and in the shadow of Central’s landmark ifc towers. Also in the morning, Master William Ng will teach a one hour tai chi class on the Pool Terrace, leading guests through the graceful, controlled movements of this ancient practice to build energy and create harmony between body and mind. In the afternoon, local physiology and personal training studio Joint Dynamics will lead a class in Urban Movement, the cutting edge of fitness philosophy. Working with the surrounding environment, the class will develop balance and coordination by employing the power of natural human movement patterns.
Getting Present at the Spa
At The Spa, guests are encouraged to spend a half-day finding mindfulness with the Be Present Day of Beauty. Guests looking to escape the pressures of work and family will find refuge in the soothing environs of the Spa. Skilled therapists will be begin with the application of a full body scrub followed by a lymphatic massage and the application of a warm herbal poultice to release tension, purify, and tone the body. Shirodhara, a traditional Ayurvedic treatment, deepens the state of relaxation as a steady stream of warm oil is poured in the centre of the forehead opening the third eye. The pampering continues in the Nail Bar with an Expresso Manicure and Pedicure. Finally, guests complete the journey to the present with a healthful al fresco lunch at the Pool Terrace.

Healthy Menus for a Cause at The Lounge
Executive Chef Herve Fucho has paired his healthful offerings in The Lounge for a special Global Wellness Day menu featuring roasted organic Japanese pumpkin soup, seared ocean trout with quinoa, braised maitake mushrooms with asparagus and brown rice, and rice milk panna cotta with organic strawberry compote and coconut flower syrup. The 10 percent service charge applied to every set menu will be donated to The Nature Conservancy to conserve the land and waters on which life depends. Lunch seatings are first come first serve.
