Studio City claims top spot as Macau’s most popular casino resort among social media users
HONG KONG (12 SEPTEMBER 2016) - Lamplight Analytics has released their ranking of Macau’s most popular casino resorts as shown by social media conversations.
Studio City generated the most buzz followed by Wynn Palace and Galaxy Macau. The Venetian Macao and the soon-to-open Parisian Macau rounded off the top five.
Lamplight’s proprietary technology takes into account how engaged social media users are with conversations about particular brands to evaluate brand popularity across a variety of social networking services. Lamplight analyses conversations both on a brand’s own social media pages and among ordinary social media users and channels. Some of the metrics measured include general conversations, comments, shares and likes.
Studio City is Macau’s most engaged casino resort on social media
A deeper look at the rankings reveals a few interesting insights. Casinos ranking closer to the top include integrated entertainment resorts such as Studio City while more traditional casino hotels such as Grand Lisboa fared less well despite its iconic status. These casino resorts are part of a new wave of entertainment complexes that are bringing more diverse leisure options to the market to supplement their gaming offers. Patrons of Studio City are quick to comment and post about the casino’s high profile music and entertainment acts, the exclusive Batman 4D ride, as well as the casino resort’s impressive exterior.
