(Hong Kong, 28 February 2018) Art Month returns to Hong Kong as a burst of colour in the form of art and cultural events arriving in the city this March. In the heart of Central, CÉ LA VI will be a part of it all with Savouring Art Month, where Lan Kwai Fong will be transformed into a focal point for art and food lovers; taking place from 1 to 31 March 2018.
Home grown talent and Executive Chef Jason Au has designed a menu with his unique art interpretations on a plate, inspired by the theme of “Happiness” and renowned graffiti artist André Saraiva, who has worked with the likes of Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Tiffany & Co to name a few. The art-inspired menu will also be complemented by an art gallery exhibition in collaboration with La Galerie Paris exclusively at CÉ LA VI.
5-Course Savouring Art Menu
Available from 1 to 31 March, the Savouring Art Menu is priced at HK$550* per person and includes vibrant fresh seafood like Fresh Premium Oyster with Momiji oroshi, ponzu and negi, California Maki Roll made with tobiko, cucumber and crab meat as well as the multi-hued Soft Shell Crab with Tropical Melons dish.
Other highlights from the menu come in the form of two creative art-inspired dishes including Beef Tenderloin, served with yellow pepper sauce, shimeji mushrooms, asparagus and tomato which is artistically arranged to reflect Saraiva’s alter-ego, the iconic cartoonish winking smiley face known as Mr. A, as well as a sweet and cheerful dessert – Chocolate Coffee Mousse, made with vividly bright coffee ganache and rose wine cherry to bring a smile to all.
CÉ LA VI Hong Kong X La Galerie Paris Living Gallery
From 5 March to 9 April, Cyril Delettre – Hong Kong based French photographer and artist – will be showcased with originals from his “Eclosions” collection at the 24th floor CÉ LA VI restaurant and can be viewed from 12:00pm – 11:00pm daily.
Exploring the mutation and metamorphosis in photography, Cyril Delettre transforms his photographs of Hong Kong street scenes, from a picture of a building or landscape, into vibrant kaleidoscopic disc-like images using multi-exposure photography technique.
