20TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW STARTS ON CELEBRATORY NOTE WITH AUSTRALIA AS COUNTRY OF HONOUR
(Hong Kong – 29 May 2018) – Today the CEO of Vinexpo, Guillaume Deglise opened Vinexpo Hong Kong 2018, the wine and spirits trade show celebrating its 20th successful year.
Guillaume Deglise was accompanied at the opening ceremony by guests of honour Mr. Edward Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Hong Kong SAR, Mr. Joe Wong, Commissioner for Tourism, Hong Kong SAR and Dr. Peter Lam Kin-Ngok, GBS Chairman of Hong Kong Tourism Board as well as Mr. Patrick Seguin, President of Vinexpo’s Executive Board and Chairman of the Bordeaux-Gironde Chamber of Commerce Vinexpo.
To celebrate Australia as this year’s ‘Country of Honour’ Australian Government Senator The Hon. Anne Ruston, Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources attended the opening of the show.
Vinexpo Hong Kong 2018 will welcome more than 17,000 professional visitors from around 50 countries as well as 1,465 exhibitors. There are also 305 entirely new exhibitors attending the three day show, which runs from today until Thursday 31 May.
