The Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong together with the North Karelia Region is happy to bring the spirit of Christmas to Hong Kong's Central with an outdoor Christmas market. The Finnish Christmas Market is a joyful family outing and a place for everyone to enjoy the festive season together, experience Finnish Christmastime traditions and explore products from many Finnish and international vendors. In addition to Christmas shopping, visitors can enjoy the provided program including fun Christmassy activities and traditional Finnish game Mölkky. Finnish Christmas is all about enjoying the company of loved ones while making new memories together. Even Santa Claus calls Finland home and this December you have the chance to meet him at the Christmas market.

This year, Santa will move his office, normally situated on the mysterious arctic circle, to Hong Kong. You are warmly welcome to meet him in person at the Christmas Market! As we all know, Santa's annual mission is to deliver happiness around the world with the help of his team of furry reindeer friends. To get more excited about Christmas, you can write a letter to Santa at the Christmas Market and get a reply from Santa Claus himself! He writes his letters at Santa's Post Office located in the arctic circle and each letter is sealed with a Christmas stamp and an Arctic Circle postmark.

Never been to Finland? The Finnish Christmas Market is your chance to get a foretaste of the land of thousand lakes. VR goggles will take you to the Koli National Park with a grand view of lake Pielinen. You can also take a sneak peek of the Kontiolahti biathlon stadium. To further emerge yourself in Finnish traditions, you can try the Finnish throwing game of Mölkky. The exotic name Mölkky was coined by its creators and has no actual meaning. It was probably inspired by the Finnish word "pölkky", which means a block of wood. Mölkky is a fun game that requires not only skill and precision, but also a strategical mindset. Try the traditional Finnish game at the Mölkky Fun Zone or pre-register your team to the Christmas Championships!

With over 30 stalls of products from interesting Finnish and international companies, the market is the perfect place to find unique Christmas gifts. Stroll around the many stalls and come across decorative elves made in Kuhmo, Finland, traditional Nordic dishware, handmade crafts and many more. In case you get hungry or desire something extra special for your dinner table, the many food & beverage companies, from traditional Nordic delicacies to Lebanese olive oil and sweets, are there to serve you. Finnish Christmas Market would not be complete without Nordic Christmas dishes and Glögi, a traditional Christmastime drink made out of a mixture of different spices. So find your way to the food stalls and try some Christmas classics such as potato casserole, smoked salmon and oven-baked Christmas ham with a glass of warm Glögi.

Entry to the market area is free of charge and there is a small fee for Santa's Office and Letter to Santa -workshop.
